Privacy Policy

Bio-Pure Products, Inc. ("Bio-Pure," "we," "us," or "our") operates the AquaPulse mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it. By using AquaPulse you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile name. We do not collect or store passwords directly — authentication is handled securely by Supabase (see Section 4).

1.2 Water Chemistry Data

AquaPulse lets you log test results for your aquarium or pond — such as pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and temperature. This is data you type in manually after testing your water. We store it so the app can track trends over time and alert you when something looks off.

1.3 Livestock and Equipment Data

You can add the fish, coral, invertebrates, and plants in your tank, along with their health status. You can also log your equipment (filters, heaters, pumps) and maintenance schedules. This information is stored so you have a complete picture of your setup in one place.

1.4 SMS Alert Contacts

If you choose to set up SMS water alerts, you provide one or more phone numbers. We use those numbers only to send you alert messages when your water parameters reach warning or critical levels. We do not share or sell phone numbers.

1.5 Product UPC Codes

To verify lifetime free access, you may enter the UPC barcode from a Bio-Pure product. We store a record of the code you submitted to confirm your entitlement.

1.6 Usage Information

We collect basic technical information such as app version and general usage patterns to help us fix bugs and improve the App. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and operate the AquaPulse app and its features
  • Send SMS alerts to phone numbers you have configured
  • Verify Bio-Pure product UPC codes for lifetime access entitlement
  • Identify and fix technical issues
  • Respond to support requests you send us

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to any third party.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed below who help us operate the App, and only to the extent necessary for those services:

  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
  • Business transfers. If Bio-Pure Products, Inc. is acquired or merges with another company, your data may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you beforehand.

4. Service Providers (Data Processors)

The following companies process data on our behalf under data processing agreements:

  • Supabase, Inc. — provides our database and user authentication infrastructure. All account data, water logs, livestock records, and equipment information are stored in Supabase-hosted databases. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified and stores data in the United States.
  • Twilio, Inc. — delivers SMS alert messages to phone numbers you configure. Twilio receives only the destination phone number and the alert message text.

5. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required by law to keep records longer.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from within the App under Account Settings. This removes all personal information associated with your account.
  • Update your information. You can update your profile and notification contacts from within the App at any time.
  • Opt out of SMS alerts. You can remove SMS contacts or disable alerts at any time in the App's notification settings.
  • Request your data. You may request a copy of the data we hold about you by contacting us at the address below.
  • California residents (CCPA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell it). Contact us to exercise these rights.

7. Children's Privacy

AquaPulse is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so accidentally, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS) for all data in transit and secure, access-controlled storage through Supabase. No security system is 100% foolproof. If a breach occurs that affects your data, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and display a notice within the App. Your continued use of AquaPulse after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
